Shalit Uri
Overview
Associate Professor Uri Shalit Joined the Faculty in 2017. He received his Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Neural Computation from the Hebrew University in 2015. Before joining the Faculty, Uri was a postdoctoral researcher at NYU and MIT.
Professor Shalit’s research has two themes; The first is applying machine learning to the field of healthcare, especially in terms of providing physicians with decision-support tools based on big health data. The second is the intersection of machine learning and causal inference, with a focus on using deep-learning methods for causal inference.
The Machine Learning & Causal Inference in Healthcare Lab works on developing new methods for using data in decision making
