During M.Sc. Miriam focused on quality in process control. She aimed at various aspects of quality systems, e.g. self-assessment, self-improvement,  and education towards quality. She received her PhD. for work on self-evaluation of quality systems.

As a cluster manager of the biggest technology cluster in Slovakia (Kosice IT Valley) she worked with IT industry, research, educational and public institutions to improve  university-business cooperation in education, research and innovation in the area of ICT. Under her execution the cluster successfully received “Cluster Management Excellence Label GOLD”. She also actively participated in various regional and national committees focusing on regional development, education, building research and innovation capacities, and cluster development. She was involved in preparation of strategy for technology transfer and business services for Technicom - university Science park.
