Abstract:

Catalogues of libraries, museums or archives were built at first as means of access and documentation of the collections, but can be more than that. In my talk I will give examples of distant reading in library catalogues and examples of  some fun students' projects on the matter. I will also claim that NLP  research should be aware to such sources and their standards and generate catalogues for the data in use.
